How to tell if a guppy is about to give birth:

1. Observe the guppy’s anus and belly. A gall will appear on the belly above the guppy's anus. The darker the gall, the closer the birth date is.

2. Observe the overall condition of the female fish. During the period when guppies are about to give birth, they usually swim alone in a relatively hidden place. Once a fish approaches, they will chase and bite them. During this period, the female fish will also jump up and down, and she is in very poor condition.

3. Observe the excrement of guppies. Before giving birth, the appetite of guppies decreases, the amount of excrement becomes less, the excrement is black, and the defecation is relatively large.

4. Observe the swimming condition of the female fish. Guppies swim very irregularly just before giving birth.

5. Observe the body color of the female fish. When the female peacock fish is about to give birth, its body color changes are quite obvious, and the color of the entire body will be much brighter than usual.
