The little colorful turtle recognizes its owner. The species of small painted turtles are generally Brazilian turtles. If you keep them for a long time, they can recognize their owners. The little painted turtle mainly identifies its owner through smell and sound, and will show conditioned reflexes to the owner's behavior. When the owner feeds it, it will stick out its head and become more excited when the owner approaches.

Precautions for raising small painted turtles:

1. The paint on the back of the small painted turtle will cause great damage to it. You can try to stick it with tape or alcohol. Slowly remove the paint on its back by scrubbing.

2. Don’t worry if a small amount of paint is involved. Once the little turtle recovers, the paint will be removed as it sheds its skin and changes its armor.

3. The back of the little painted turtle is covered with paint, so its resistance is relatively weak and it is prone to stress reactions. Provide it with a suitable living environment as much as possible, with temperature, water quality, light, and food ready.

4. The frequency of water changes needs to be appropriately increased to prevent water from being contaminated by paint.
