Catmint, which cats like, is a herbaceous plant. Its Chinese name is Nepeta and it belongs to the family Lamiaceae. Nepeta is a perennial plant. The plant is dried and then ground into powder and placed in cat toys. About 50% of cats are interested in the smell of grass leaves and like to scratch and bite them, but this does not mean that cats must eat catnip to stay healthy. In fact, catnip is a hallucinogenic plant.

In addition to catnip, cats also like toys:
