Which part of the rabbit is injected depends on how the drug is injected. Injections can be given to the rabbit's neck, inner thighs, buttocks, ears, shoulders, and armpits. The most common injection site is generally on both sides of the spine at the back of the neck, avoiding the shoulder blades and pelvis. Lift the skin, pierce the skin with the syringe needle, and withdraw blood without pressure, then you can inject. Intramuscular injection is done in the thigh or buttocks, and intravenous injection is done in the ear.

Precautions for injecting rabbits:

1. The needle and syringe used must be appropriate. Use a slender needle for aqueous injection, a thick and short needle for oil emulsion injection, and a No. 5 or No. 6 pediatric scalp needle for intravenous injection.

2. Before the injection, the syringe and needle should be disassembled and disinfected with alcohol. After the injection, the syringe should be washed with water immediately.

3. After absorbing the medicinal solution, point the needle upward, place an alcohol cotton ball on the tip of the needle, and then carefully and slowly expel the bubbles in the medicinal solution. Otherwise, air will be injected into the rabbit body, especially the veins, which will cause the death of the sick rabbit.
