Symptoms of rabies in dogs:

1. Prodromal stage: mainly mild abnormalities. Rabies dogs are sensitive in temperament, behave abnormally, are easily irritated, and do not listen. The bite is itchy and the bite is often licked with the tongue.

2. Violent stage: The main symptoms are high excitement, attacks on people and animals, and violent and depression often appear alternately. They attack wildly and bite their limbs, tail and genitals. As the disease progresses, symptoms such as consciousness disturbance, reflex disorder, weight loss, hoarseness, tail clamping, sunken eyeballs, dilated or narrowed pupils, salivation and other symptoms may occur.

3. Paralysis stage: Symptoms include mandibular droop, tongue protruding from the mouth, significant drooling, hindquarters and limbs paralysis, lying on the ground and other symptoms, and finally death due to respiratory center paralysis or failure.

Methods to prevent rabies in dogs:

1. Dogs must be vaccinated against rabies regularly and tested for rabies antibodies in their bodies.

2. When taking your dog out, try to avoid too much contact with other dogs to prevent being bitten by rabid dogs.
