Tips for dog training to pick up things:

1. The dog is tied to a leash and kept under control. Hold the dog collar with one hand and the toy with the other. Throw it somewhere close.

2. Give the "pick up" command and at the same time let go of the hand holding the dog's collar. If the dog has been trained to "pick up things" and "bite things", it should chase the toys.

3. After the dog picks up the object, order it to "come here", squat down to encourage the dog to come closer, and gently pull the dog leash if necessary.

4. Pat the dog firmly and praise it as a "good dog" to reward its obedience. Put your hand under the dog's chin to prevent the toys in its mouth from falling.

5. Give the "Give me" command and take the toy out of the dog's mouth. As soon as the dog relaxes the toy, praise it as a "good dog."

6. Command the dog to "sit" to remind it that you are still in control of the situation, and finally give it the retrieved toy as a reward.
