The skin temperature increases and there may be discharge from the nipple in the breast area where the lump is located. At the same time, dogs will also experience symptoms such as depression, loss of appetite, severe weight loss, and painful lumps when touched. Usually, it is necessary to go to the hospital for B-ultrasound or X-ray to confirm the diagnosis.

1. The early stage of mammary gland tumors will not affect the dog's normal eating and mental state. You can usually see fixed tissue near the breast, similar to a growth, without any clinical symptoms, no redness, swelling, heat or pain.

2. As time goes by, the fixed tissue will enlarge and spread, absorbing the dog's own nutrition, and obvious hard lumps can be felt in the dog's abdomen. It is worth noting that the dog’s armpit and inguinal lymph nodes should be checked for metastasis.

3. When the tumor has grown to the limit of skin stretching, it will crack and emit a foul smell. It is recommended that you take your dog to a pet hospital for a tumor examination to see whether the tumor is malignant or benign, and to treat it in time.
