Signs of a pregnant cat:

1. If the cat is anxious or restless, squatting on the ground, or lying in the cat's nest and making sounds, it may be the mother. Caused by anxiety that the cat is about to give birth.

2. The amount of water consumed will also increase, the frequency of urination will increase, and the food intake will decrease. Urination becomes frequent as the uterus presses on the bladder.

3. The body temperature drops by about one degree and will return to normal body temperature during delivery. Cats' normal body temperatures are higher than ours. Usually between 37.7–39.1°C. One or two days before birth, the body temperature of pregnant cats will drop a bit, usually to below 37.7°C.

4. When preparing to give birth, fluid will flow out of the genitals.

5. Red nipples can squeeze out milk and the cat’s abdomen begins to shrink. Usually begins 24–48 hours before kittens are born. You can see some thick beige discharge from its nipples. This is colostrum.
