Rabbits are afraid of heat. Rabbits are animals with relatively good fur insulation. Their hair is relatively dense and has a good thermal insulation function. They also lack sweat glands on their body surface. Only a very small amount of sweat glands are distributed around the mouth and other parts, so they cannot dissipate heat through the skin.

Rabbits mainly regulate their body temperature through their ears, breathing and physiological excretion, so they should avoid being raised in hot environments.

Attention should be paid to raising rabbits in summer:

1. Pay attention to avoid sunlight, enhance ventilation, and increase the amount of water the rabbits drink appropriately to make the rabbits less susceptible to disease. Overheating can lead to heatstroke.

2. Control the temperature in the environment by placing ice cubes in the cage to reduce heatstroke caused by excessive ambient temperature in rabbits.

3. The hair of rabbits is very thick and very warm, especially long-haired rabbits. When the temperature is relatively high in summer, the rabbit's hair can be trimmed appropriately.
