Measuring the temperature of small dogs:

1. Hind leg temperature measurement method, sterilize the thermometer, and then place the thermometer into the skin of the inside of the dog’s hind legs , because the body surface temperature is lower than the rectal temperature, it needs to be measured for 10 minutes before taking it out. Add 0.5 degrees to the temperature.

2. Rectal thermometry: sterilize the thermometer and insert it into the dog's rectum to measure the temperature. The insertion length is about half of the thermometer and the measurement lasts for 3 minutes.

3. Put the ear thermometer on the dog’s ear and gently press it. This method is often used clinically.

Symptoms of dog fever:

1. The dog’s spirit becomes poor and he does not like to move.

2. Loss of appetite, not even interested in favorite foods such as canned food.

3. Dogs with fever will have dry and hot noses.

4. The dog’s conjunctiva is red or the dog has shortness of breath.
