It is a little late to vaccinate your dog at four months. Generally, maternal antibodies disappear around 1 month of age in dogs. Failure to vaccinate dogs between 1 and 4 months of age may increase the risk of the dog contracting infectious diseases. Therefore, it is generally recommended that owners receive the first dose of vaccine to prevent infectious diseases when their dogs are about 45 days old, and then receive one shot every 21 days. After two consecutive shots, they can receive the rabies vaccine 7 days apart. It should be noted that vaccination must be carried out when the dog is in good health. If the dog is sick, it needs to be postponed.

Notes on dog vaccination:

1. After vaccination, you need to observe the dog in the hospital for at least 30 minutes, and you can leave only if there are no abnormalities. If your dog develops facial edema, shortness of breath, purple tongue, etc., you need to contact your veterinarian promptly for anti-allergy injections.

2. After the vaccination, pay attention to keeping warm, keep the food, drink and environment the same as before for a week, reduce going out and exercise, and cannot take a bath within a week, and try to have as little contact with dogs outside as possible.

3. Internal and external deworming can be done in advance one week before vaccination, so as to eliminate parasites, make the body healthier, and the effect of vaccination will be better.
