The appearance of the American Bobtail Cat has the following characteristics.

1. The body size is medium to large, weighing between 3-9 kg, and has well-developed muscles. Short tail with medium to long double coat. The hind legs are slightly longer than the front legs, with strong bone structure, wide and round claws, and hair between the toes.

2. The head is broad with arc lines, the eyebrows are slightly curved, and the cheeks are plump and well-developed. The nose is broad and straight, with a slight depression between the brow and the nose, and the chin is strong, strong and well-developed.

3. The eyes are large and wide, oval and almond-shaped, with the tips of the eyes tilted toward the ears. The width and length of the muzzle are nearly equal.
