The length of time during the incubation period of cat rabies virus symptoms varies, mostly 2 to 8 weeks, sometimes up to a year or several years, and as short as only one week. Symptoms of rabies in cats:

9. Cats will not eat food when rabies enters the final stage.

10. Failure to breathe normally may lead to respiratory failure.
