Cats can swim. They are born with this skill, especially wild cats or felines. In the wild, they will often wade through small rivers and go to the other side of the river to find prey. 1. Slowly adapt. If your cat is timid when swimming for the first time, he must first adapt to it. You can choose a shallow place or bring a swimming ring to the cat.

2. Provide assistance. Cats will feel very panicked and struggle desperately even in shallow water. The owner can put his hands on the cat's abdomen to support it and give it sufficient support.

3. Do not force. If a cat doesn't like swimming, don't force it. If you force the cat to go into the water, it is likely to cause stress in the cat. The consequences of the cat's stress can be serious or small.

4. Clean. No matter where you swim, when your cat finishes swimming, you must wash it as soon as possible to avoid skin diseases.
