Dogs should not take cold baths in the summer. Taking cold baths when the weather is very hot is very harmful to the dog's body. It will cause the blood vessels in the dog's skin to contract, the body temperature to drop, and the body to catch a cold, which can easily lead to a cold. Moreover, using too cold water to bathe your dog can easily cause stress reactions and even abnormal symptoms such as vomiting and diarrhea.

Precautions for bathing dogs:

1. In good health. The dog must be completely healthy, fully vaccinated, and have acceptable antibody levels before bathing.

2. Use pet-specific body wash. The pH value of dog skin is different from that of human skin, so human body wash is not suitable for dogs.

3. Do not bathe frequently. Don’t bathe your dog too frequently. If you wash your dog too frequently, your dog’s skin will become dry, dandruff, or even infected with skin diseases.

4. The water temperature is suitable. The temperature of bath water should not be too high or too low. Generally, the temperature is around 36 degrees in spring and summer, and around 37 degrees in autumn and winter.

5. Watering sequence. When bathing a puppy, it is best to start from the feet and work your way up. When rinsing the head, do not rinse towards the eyes, and put plugs on the nose and ears.

6. Rinse completely. Be sure to flush thoroughly and don't let the foam of the bath solution stay on your dog's body to prevent skin irritation and dermatitis.

7. Blow-dry your hair. After taking a bath, you should immediately dry the water droplets on your dog's body with a towel, and then dry it with a hair dryer. Do not put your dog directly in the sun to dry.
