Cats have a habit that bothers cat owners, that is, they like to sharpen their claws and often use furniture at home to do so. However, don't blame your cat, because it is the cat's nature to sharpen its claws. Parents need to trim their cat's nails regularly and cut off the sharp parts at the top of the nails, so as to reduce the impact of the cat's claw grinding. Provide a cat scratcher/stick

It is very important for cats to provide an object for scratching, scratching, and polishing the tips of their claws. Especially if your cat is an 'indoor cat' or has developed a habit of sharpening her claws indoors.

Place the scratching tool on the scratched area and gently rub the scratching stick from top to bottom with its paws, leaving its scent on the stick and teaching it what to do at the same time. Provide adequate exercise

If curiosity and the satisfaction of scratching soft objects can prompt your cat to sharpen its claws frequently in the space you have prepared, then you need to prepare more exercises for it to satisfy its excess energy. Play games with it often, multiple times a day, and for small games in a short period of time, you might as well prepare a few more toys for it.

If your cat often scratches the wallpaper, try changing the wallpaper type, such as a different material. Some cats prefer a slightly thicker finish, or paint the walls directly. Don't give it too much attention when it's scratching the wall, or it'll get worse.

Improving the security situation

If the scratching occurs in many areas of the house, it may be territorial behavior and a sign of a strong lack of security. It is usually caused by other cats entering the house, moving to a new home, or fear of the outside world.
