Treatment methods for dogs with heatstroke and vomiting

1. The owner should move the dog to a cool place immediately.

2. Wet the dog’s paws with cold water, or soak the dog’s feet directly in it. Avoid using water with ice cubes, otherwise it will cause the blood vessels to contract rapidly, making it more difficult to cool down.

3. Give your dog some cooler water. Be careful not to feed your dog ice cubes directly, as this may cause a sudden drop in body temperature and the risk of shock.

4. When vomiting due to heatstroke occurs, fluid rehydration is often required to maintain the ion balance in the dog's body.

5. Straighten the dog’s neck to relieve its difficulty in breathing.

6. Give the sick dog oral saline in a timely manner. When the temperature drops to normal temperature, stop cooling.

Symptoms of heatstroke in dogs
