Methods to prevent dental calculus in Irish Soft-Coated Terriers:

1. Owners usually give their dogs more teething tools or toys to clean their teeth. If possible, it is best to feed your dog special dog food.

2. Conduct oral examinations regularly and deal with problems in a timely manner. Brush your teeth frequently to avoid tartar buildup.

3. Try to reduce or avoid feeding foods containing a lot of sugar. If your dog eats something high in sugar, be sure to rinse its mouth and preferably brush its teeth.

4. Eat more crude fiber foods containing vitamins, which can clean the tooth surface when chewing.

Symptoms of dental calculus in Irish Soft-coated Terriers:

1. At first, there is milky white soft scale on the dog’s teeth, which gradually calcifies and hardens over time, and finally appears. Yellow, brown or black dental calculus appears.
