Postpartum care for female cats:

1. Do not move the delivery room at will. Cats are more afraid of the cold, and their bodies are relatively weak after giving birth. It is best to place the delivery room where the sun shines, so that the cats can bask in the sun, sterilize and keep warm.

2. Soups are very important, such as crucian carp soup and chicken soup, which help to produce milk. Because milk is composed of 78% water, water demand will increase sharply during lactation. Mother cats should be provided with adequate water.

3. Be sure to clean the delivery room every day, change pet-specific diapers, clean cat bowls, and replace cat litter frequently to avoid bacterial growth. Female cats have weak immunity after giving birth and are easily infected with diseases.

4. Kittens need adequate sleep after they are born. They generally need to sleep for more than 20 hours a day, so the cat owner needs to keep the environment quiet and not disturb their sleep and the mother cat’s routine.
