Symptoms of shock in dogs

1. Significant drop in blood pressure, weak and rapid pulse, drop in blood pressure or undetectable blood pressure, cold limbs and skin, bronchospasm, breathing rapid.

2. Due to the reduction in glomerular blood flow, urine output is significantly reduced. When acute renal failure occurs, dogs appear anuria.

3. The brain is deprived of oxygen and the sick dog is irritable and restless. As the shock worsens, the dog may become apathetic, lethargic, or even comatose.

4. The affected dogs showed severe infection, chills, fever, and the body temperature could reach above 41 degrees Celsius. Most dogs have elevated white blood cells and decreased blood pressure.

Causes of dog shock

1. Dog shock is an acute circulatory insufficiency syndrome. Common causes in dogs include reduced blood volume such as bleeding, dehydration, trauma, etc.

2. Due to various pathogenic factors acting on the dog's body, it is characterized by extensive cellular hypoxia damage to various important organs. Due to extensive cell damage, the dog's vital organ function is lost and the body dies.

3. According to the different causes and properties of shock in dogs, it can be divided into: cardiogenic, infectious, allergic, hemorrhagic, traumatic and other shocks.
