Feline coccidiosis is a common parasitic infection caused by Isospora coccidia, which can cause severe diarrhea, bloody stools and even dehydration in young cats. Feline coccidiosis affects health, growth and development, and can cause death in severe cases. The incubation period for feline coccidiosis is usually three to seven days. This is a disease in which cats have sticky and bloody stools caused by protozoa of sporozoites.

How to treat cat coccidiosis:

1. Cat coccidiosis will cause symptoms such as malnutrition, diarrhea, and blood in the feces. Severe diarrhea can cause cats to develop Hypoglycemia, shock and other phenomena require prompt treatment.

2. Generally, cat feces need to be collected for microscopic examination. The diagnosis can be confirmed by observing coccidia eggs. After diagnosis, sulfa drugs need to be used for treatment.

3. If the cat is severely dehydrated, intravenous rehydration is required to maintain electrolyte balance. In addition, cats need to be dewormed regularly for daily prevention.
