There are two situations when a cat will vomit when it hears the sound of a comb: The first situation is that the cat’s ears are very sensitive to high-frequency sounds. When the excitement is transmitted to the vomiting center, it will cause the cat to react with nausea and vomiting. In fact, not all cats will vomit after hearing the sound of a comb, because each cat has a different excitement threshold. The second situation is that the cat has intestinal disease that causes the cat to vomit, which has nothing to do with the comb. If it is the second situation, it is recommended that the owner take the cat to a pet hospital for treatment.

Common causes of vomiting in cats:

1. Internal parasites. When there are a lot of parasites in the stomach of cats, they will instinctively look for some leaves or grass to change the pH value of the gastric juice in the stomach to induce vomiting. If you observe their vomit carefully, you will find a lot of parasites. Insects, then we must deworm them as soon as possible.

2. Hair ball. Cats love to be clean. They often lick their bodies and eat a lot of hair into their stomachs. Over time, if it accumulates too much, it will spit out the accumulated hair balls in its stomach through vomiting.

3. Digestive difficulties caused by accidental ingestion. If a cat eats too fast, it will easily swallow larger bones and fish bones into its stomach. These bones and fish bones are difficult to digest in the stomach, so they will be vomited out. When cooking food for cats, we need to pick out these bones and fish bones.

4. Improper feeding methods. Changing cat food suddenly, or frequently changing various snacks for cats to eat, may also cause gastrointestinal discomfort and vomiting in cats.

5. Lack of "folic acid". When a cat lacks "folic acid" in its body, it will often eat leaves and grass to produce nutrients in the body, and then vomit out the indigestible parts of the leaves and grass together with other things in the stomach.

6. Gastrointestinal diseases. Cats' vomiting behavior is sometimes a signal to improve physical discomfort through vomiting. This discomfort is often caused by gastrointestinal irritation from spoiled or too cold food, or gastrointestinal discomfort caused by certain diseases.
