Not all dogs have Toxoplasma gondii. Under normal circumstances, dogs do not have Toxoplasma gondii on their bodies. Dogs can become infected with Toxoplasma gondii only after they accidentally eat raw meat or feces containing Toxoplasma gondii. Dogs are the intermediate host of Toxoplasma gondii. Toxoplasma gondii does not stay on dogs for too long, and its ability to spread is not very strong. It mainly parasitizes cats.

Methods to prevent Toxoplasma gondii infection in dogs:

1. Pay attention to the dog’s dietary hygiene. The meat should be fully cooked to avoid raw meat contaminating cooked food.

2. Keep dogs indoors, do not let them eat freely outside, and the dog’s excrement must be cleaned up in time.

3. Take the dog for regular check-ups, usually once every three months, and deworm the dog internally and externally, and receive Toxoplasma vaccine.
