How to deal with ulcers on dog’s face

1. The ulcerated area should be thoroughly disinfected with iodine volts or alcohol to remove secretions.

2. Remove the secretions, and then check whether there is necrosis in the affected skin. If so, the necrotic skin needs to be excised and then sutured.

3. Apply some saprophytic muscle and anti-inflammatory drugs to the wound, bandage the wound, and advise the dog owner to send the dog to the hospital for professional treatment in time.

Causes of dog facial ulcers

1. Allergic reactions, such as allergic reactions caused by bee or mosquito bites, food, plants, drugs, etc.

2. Facial swelling caused by swollen lymph nodes, oral diseases, etc.

3. Facial injuries: Bacterial infection can cause facial swelling or bruising.
