1. When dogs are in estrus

Both female dogs and male dogs usually go into estrus. There are some differences according to different dog breeds at 8 months of age. Small dogs come into heat earlier than large dogs. Male dogs do not have a fixed estrus time. After they become sexually mature, they will passively go into estrus due to the stimulation of the female dog's estrus smell. Female dogs usually go into estrus twice a year, and each estrus usually lasts 3-4 weeks. Estrus is mainly concentrated in March-May and September-November.

2. Pay attention to hygiene

The secretions from both male and female vulva will increase. Therefore, you must pay attention to cleaning at this time. During the dog's estrus period, use clean warm water and a cloth to gently clean the dog's vulva every day. Pay attention to cleanliness, otherwise it will easily cause infection of the dog’s reproductive organs.

3. Reduce going out

Emotions are not very stable during estrus, so try to go out as little as possible to avoid causing trouble. When going out, be sure to keep your dog on a leash to prevent emergencies. 4. Accompany dogs

5. Improve diet

The diet must be nutritious, because dogs in estrus lose too much nutrients, and nutrition must be replenished in time.
