Eight reasons why dogs cannot be bathed:

1. Puppies that have not completed their vaccinations. The dog's resistance at this stage is very low, and it is easy for him to catch a cold due to bathing, which will also increase the risk of contracting infectious diseases.

2. Just after the injection. Taking a bath immediately after the dog's injection may cause infection of the needle hole. Once a stress reaction occurs, it will also affect the efficacy of the medicine.

3. When there are wounds on the body. Bathing when a dog has a wound may lead to wound infection, especially a dog that has just undergone surgery and must not be bathed.

4. When the dog is sick. Dogs are very weak when they are sick. Taking a bath will consume a lot of energy and may aggravate the condition.

5. When the female dog is in estrus. When a female dog is in estrus, her vagina relaxes, and bacteria can enter the dog's vagina along with water, causing infection.

6. When the female dog is just pregnant. In the early stages of pregnancy, the embryonic development of dogs is not stable, and bathing can easily cause miscarriage in dogs.

7. When the female dog is lactating. Dogs have a weak constitution after giving birth. Once they get sick and have a cold, it is easy to transmit it to the puppies. Moreover, when they need medicine and injections, they cannot provide breast milk to the puppies.

8. When the dog suffers from heatstroke. Although dogs need to cool down when suffering from heat stroke, if the dog's whole body is soaked in water, the rapid drop in body temperature may cause the dog to go into shock.
