Golden retrievers generally start receiving vaccines against infectious diseases when they are 45 days old or above. At present, infectious disease vaccines mainly prevent canine distemper, parvovirus, and canine infectious hepatitis. In the first year of immunity, three consecutive doses of infectious disease vaccines are required, with an interval of 21 days. After the three-shot vaccine is completed, it is recommended that golden retrievers undergo an antibody test to check whether they have produced antibodies against the virus. Secondly, rabies vaccination is required for those aged over three months and cannot be vaccinated in advance.

What should you pay attention to when getting vaccinated for golden retrievers:

1. Every year, you need to get another shot of combined vaccine and a shot of rabies to strengthen immunity.

2. The puppies have been raised at home for more than a week and there are no obvious abnormalities (eating, drinking, and defecating at home are normal, no vomiting, diarrhea, and coughing, they are in good spirits, and their weight is up to standard). Only when the above conditions are met can the rabies vaccine be injected .

3. After the vaccination, pay attention to keeping warm. Keep the food, drink and environment the same as before within a week. Reduce going out and exercise. You should not take a bath within a week and have as little contact with dogs outside as possible.
