Cats do not have fearful colors, nor are they fearful or afraid of specific colors. And cats don’t care much about color, because there is some barrier between the cat’s eyes and brain perception, which makes the cat’s color discrimination not that important.

Cat Vision

1. Cats’ eyes have greater peripheral vision than humans. A cat's field of view is about 185 degrees, and humans can only see about 120 degrees.

2. A cat’s pupils can expand to 90% of the eyeball surface in the dark, and weak light is enough for them to find prey.

3. The ratio of cone cells in cats is 25:1, while that of humans is only 4:1. Therefore, when it is dark, cats become more sensitive than humans.

4. Cats have only two colors in their eyes, blue and green. Therefore, the colors that cats’ eyes can distinguish are actually very limited. The more warm the surrounding objects are, the darker the colors they can discern.

5. Although cats are short-sighted, their sense of hearing and smell make up for this defect, so cats are still very flexible in their actions.
