Dogs need deworming in summer. The temperature is high in summer, which is the season when parasites are most prevalent. It is very necessary to deworm dogs. Deworming is divided into internal deworming and external deworming. Internal deworming mainly involves taking medicines. Give the medicine to the dog 2 hours after eating to avoid irritating the dog's gastrointestinal tract. For external deworming, drops or sprays are generally used. To use drops, brush aside the hair on the dog’s neck and drop the deworming medicine on the skin; for sprays, spray it directly on the dog’s body, taking care to avoid eyes and nose.
Precautions for deworming dogs:
1. Do not bathe your dog for a few days before and after deworming, so as not to affect the effect of the deworming medicine.
2. If your dog develops a gastrointestinal reaction after taking anthelmintics and vomits out the tablets, you need to give him the medicine again.
3. If the dog is pregnant, you cannot deworm it casually to avoid harming the baby.
4. Internal deworming is usually done once every 1-3 months, and external deworming is usually done once a month.
