Foods that Labradors cannot eat:

1. Chocolate. Chocolate contains caffeine and an ingredient called theobromine, which can cause great damage to a dog’s heart and central nervous system. Dogs who eat too much chocolate are likely to be poisoned and die.

2. Onions. Onions contain sulfur, which can destroy red blood cells in young children and cause anemia. Onions are highly toxic to dogs. Eating too much can cause acute anemia and even be life-threatening.

3. Seafood, especially food such as shrimps and crabs, can easily cause diarrhea and worms in dogs.

4. Sweets. Long-term consumption of sweet foods, such as drinks and desserts, can make dogs susceptible to diabetes and obesity.

5. High-fat foods. Greasy food contains high fat content, which can make dogs obese and cause life-threatening pancreatic inflammation. Moreover, once a dog gets used to food with strong taste, it will cause the dog’s sense of taste to become stronger, forming a bad habit of being picky.

6. Sticky foods, such as rice cakes and rice dumplings. Dogs generally do not eat very carefully, and most of them swallow in lumps. Sticky things may stick to the esophagus as they are swallowed, causing the dog to suffocate and die.

7. Expired food. These foods have begun to become moldy and can cause muscle twitching and atrophy in dogs after eating them, and then death. Also, prevent dogs from digging out of garbage bags and eating them.
