Causes of dogs twitching after eating:

1. Fear. When a dog encounters something that scares it, its body may twitch.

2. Cramps. Dogs will twitch when they have cramps. This happens mostly in puppies, but once or twice, the twitch will go away.

3. Calcium deficiency. Dogs need sufficient calcium nutrition to grow. If the body is deficient in calcium, it will inevitably cause convulsions.

4. Epilepsy. If a dog has epilepsy, it will often have convulsions in life, sometimes all the time, sometimes intermittently.

5. Sickness. When a dog gets canine distemper, its body will twitch violently.

Emergency treatment methods for dog convulsions:

1. Move to a safe area. Place your dog in a safe, comfortable place that is cool and quiet.

2. Prevent trauma. Cover with a blanket and avoid touching the floor, walls and other hard objects until the attack subsides to prevent trauma.

3. Clean up mucus. When a dog becomes stiff, the mucus in the mouth and nose should be removed promptly during the stiff interval to keep breathing smooth. Remove feces and urine at the same time.

4. Go to the doctor for treatment. Give drinking water but reduce the amount of food. Let the sick dog rest in a quiet environment and send it to the doctor as soon as possible.
