Golden Retrievers can eat adult dog food when they are 12 months old. It is not advisable to feed Golden Retrievers adult dog food too early. Puppy food, and the gastrointestinal tract of puppies is not fully developed. Eating adult dog food will increase the burden on the gastrointestinal tract and cause gastrointestinal discomfort. When you need to change to adult dog food, you should make a slow transition. You can mix puppy food and adult dog food before feeding it, and then slowly increase the amount of adult dog food.
Notes on feeding dog food to Golden Retrievers:

1. Feed Golden Retrievers dog food regularly and quantitatively. Irregular feeding may lead to overeating. Not conducive to digestion and absorption.
2. Don’t feed the same dog food to your golden retriever all the time. Change the dog food to it every 3-4 months.
3. Do not change the food of the golden retriever suddenly, so as not to cause it to become unadapted and cause hunger strikes or vomiting. It should be done step by step. You can mix the old and new food and then slowly replace it with the new food.
