Kittens may not necessarily defecate on their own. Kittens under 1 month old do not have the ability to defecate on their own and need to be stimulated by the outside world to defecate. Generally, the mother cat will lick the kitten's anus to promote defecation. If the mother cat is not around the kitten, the owner's help will be needed to defecate. Moisten the cotton swab and gently wipe the kitten's anus to stimulate defecation. Kittens over 1 month old have the ability to defecate on their own, and owners only need to prepare a litter box.

Methods to help kittens defecate:

1. Improve their diet. Generally, kittens before three months old should be breastfed. You can feed the cat some liquid food or milk powder appropriately according to the cat's growth.

2. Supplement beneficial bacteria. Feed your cat some probiotics appropriately to enhance intestinal peristalsis.

3. Use Kaiselu. Use Kesellu under the guidance of a veterinarian. Note that Kesellu can cause cats to become dependent. Do not use it too many times on kittens.

4. Increase water intake. You can provide sufficient drinking water by placing more water basins or running water.

5. Wipe your butt. Use a wet tissue or cotton swab to gently wipe the kitten's anus to stimulate it to defecate.
