Symptoms of cat colds:

1. Just like humans, cats will also have symptoms such as runny nose and sneezing after catching a cold. The initial stage is serous nasal discharge, which will become yellow and sticky in severe cases, often accompanied by symptoms such as accelerated breathing, elevated body temperature, chills and tremors. If not treated in time, it may be complicated by other diseases such as tracheitis and bronchitis.

2. After cats catch a cold, they most often suffer from lack of energy, loss of appetite, or simply not eating. They are often seen lying motionless in one place. This is the most direct sign that a cat is sick. If a cat has such symptoms, it can almost be judged that the cat is unwell.

3. The cat’s nose will also become dry, and sometimes it will feel slightly hot to the touch. A normal, healthy cat's nose is warm and cool. If this happens, you can first measure the cat's body temperature to see if it has a fever.

4. After a cat catches a cold, some cats will also experience symptoms such as flushing of the conjunctiva and watery eyes, occasionally accompanied by an increase in eye secretions, and often scratching the nose with their front paws.

Causes of cat colds:

1. The temperature of the environment where cats live is hot and cold, causing cats to catch colds.

2. Failure to dry the cat’s hair after bathing or sweating during exercise may cause the cat to catch a cold.

3. When the temperature in nature drops suddenly and the temperature difference is too large, the resistance of the respiratory mucosa is often reduced. The cat's body is stimulated by the cold and cannot adapt to the changes for a while and develops a cold.
