Even hybrid fold-eared cats will have abnormal cartilage development as long as they carry this gene. However, hybrid fold-eared cats will develop symptoms later than purebred fold-eared cats, and the severity will be less severe.

How to delay the onset of the disease in cats with folded ears:

1. Regular vaccination and deworming. Fold-eared cats are relatively weak and prone to illness, so they must be vaccinated and dewormed regularly to prevent cats from getting sick.

2. Regular physical examination. Due to the genetic defects of folded-eared cats, they themselves have hereditary diseases, but the specific time of onset is uncertain, so cats should be taken for regular physical examinations so that the cat's condition can be detected in time.

3. Pay attention to the cat’s living environment. Fold-eared cats are not suitable for living in a dry environment. The humidity of their living environment is best kept at 50%-60%. An environment that is too dry or too humid can easily cause cats to suffer from skin diseases.
