Folded-eared cats will die suddenly, possibly without warning. Sudden death of folded-eared cats is mostly caused by sudden heart disease. Folded-eared cats are prone to hypertrophic cardiomyopathy due to special genetic diseases. There is no sign of onset of the disease and death may occur suddenly.

The reasons why cats with folded ears are prone to death

1. Cats with folded ears suffer from congenital genetic diseases. Once the disease occurs, they will suffer lifelong pain, even if they are not "sick". Cats will also suffer from problems such as enlarged joints, deformed hands and feet, and weak constitution throughout their lives.

2. Fold-eared cats are more likely to suffer from heart disease than other breeds of cats, and are prone to the risk of sudden death.

3. Because folded-eared cats are born with a weak constitution, they are more likely to get sick than other cats because their resistance is lower and their mortality rate is higher.
