Key points for prevention and treatment of canine nocardiosis:

1. Hygiene and cleanliness. Do a good job in cleaning the skin and the kennel to prevent trauma. If trauma is found, apply violet solution or sulfonate tincture in time.

2. Inject antitoxin. Each dog can be injected intramuscularly or intravenously with 3-5ml of polyvalent antitoxin, and early application is more effective than late application.

3. Regular injection of kanamycin sulfate. The injection is 50,000 units/kg body weight twice daily.

4. Rehydration therapy. 100-1000 ml of 5% glucose saline and 10-50 ml of 5% sodium bicarbonate injection, mixed for intravenous infusion.

5. Heating food. In order to prevent dogs from eating rotten meat and food, the food should be heated to 100°C before feeding and fed after more than 10 minutes.
