Can kittens eat dried shrimp?

Nary cats cannot eat dried shrimps. Dried shrimp is made by dehydrating shrimp. Shrimp contains protein that cats cannot digest. The digestive function of dairy cats is relatively weak, and eating shrimp may cause symptoms such as indigestion and diarrhea. Milk cats refer to kittens that have been born recently and have not yet been weaned. They are usually about one month old. The main food source of dairy cats is cat milk from female cats or goat milk fed by pet owners. It is recommended that cat owners not give dried shrimps to dairy cats.
What to do if a kitten eats dried shrimp by mistake:
1. If the kitten does not have diarrhea, it can be fed normally.
2. If the kitten has mild diarrhea, you can first control the cat's diet, feed small amounts with frequent meals, and use probiotics for conditioning.
3. If the kitten has severe diarrhea, artificial oral rehydration salts or infusion are needed to adjust the kitten’s water, electrolyte and acid-base balance.
4. If there are other symptoms, symptomatic treatment is needed and the pet should be sent to a pet hospital for treatment in time.
