First, hold the root of the dog's tail with your left hand to expose the anal opening; hold the toilet paper in your right hand and place it directly against the anal opening. Use your right thumb and index finger to press the anal glands at four o'clock and eight o'clock, squeeze inward and then outward. Rubbing and pulling will cause anal gland fluid to be discharged. After repeated squeezing several times, the anal gland fluid can be emptied. Be careful not to use excessive force when squeezing to prevent damage to the anal glands and inflammation.
