Can cats eat tulip seeds?

Cats cannot eat tulip seeds. Tulips are a highly poisonous flower to cats, similar to lilies, and can cause serious kidney damage to cats if ingested. Cats that eat tulip seeds may experience vomiting, diarrhea, depression, drooling, nausea, and in severe cases, kidney failure and death.
How to treat a kitten that is poisoned after eating tulip seeds:
1. After the cat is poisoned, use the method of inducing vomiting to expel the poison that entered the stomach. Apomorphine can be used for intravenous injection at 0.04 mg per kilogram of body weight, or intramuscular or subcutaneous injection at 0.08 mg per kilogram of body weight.
2. If inducing vomiting is not effective, the owner should perform gastric lavage on the cat. Mainly use gastric tube, mouth opening device and gastric lavage solution. Commonly used are warm salt water, warm boiled water, warm soapy water, strong tea and 1% soda solution.
3. If the owner finds that the cat is poisoned, it is best to send the cat to the hospital for treatment immediately if conditions permit, so as to provide symptomatic treatment.
