A cat’s ears tilted back may mean the following three things: 1. Fear or nervousness. It may be that the cat sees or hears something that scares it and is preparing to attack; 2. A warning is issued, which may mean that there is a stranger. When people or other animals enter the cat's territory, the cat will use this method to warn outsiders to leave; 3. Angry, it may be that the owner has done something to make the cat angry, causing the cat to become angry.

Usually when a cat is friendly, its ears will tilt forward. In most cases, a cat’s ears are upright. When they hear certain sounds and express curiosity, they will wiggle their ears.
