Early-stage fatty liver generally has no obvious symptoms, and the cat’s performance is not enough for pet owners to notice its changes. When the disease progresses further, clinical symptoms such as anorexia, weight loss, depression, and salivation will appear, and jaundice will occur further. The cat's ears, skin and mucous membranes may turn yellow, which is a typical symptom of fatty liver - jaundice. If it continues to worsen, the cat will also develop brittle skin, which can easily cause skin scarring. The earlier fatty liver is detected, the better it can be treated and the faster liver function can be restored.
