There is no accurate answer to how long it takes for a dog to recover after being frightened. It may return to normal in a few hours and minutes, or it may not recover for a few days. What we need to do is to comfort the dog after it is frightened. Let them know that we don’t have to be afraid when we are around them, so that they will recover faster.
