Cats eating chocolate are at risk of death. Because cats of different breeds have different ages and sizes, it is impossible to determine how much chocolate will be fatal. Cats may become ill within two hours to 24 hours after accidentally eating chocolate. The most obvious manifestations are: weakness of hands and feet, vomiting, rapid heartbeat, restlessness, and severe cases may cause convulsions and even coma.
