Stray cats are a way of survival:

1. Stray cats usually look for something to eat in trash cans. They may also go to the streets to catch mice and sparrows, or hunt at night. Rats usually drink stagnant water on rainy days, or water from rivers and lakes.

2. Stray cats will build their own nests in secluded places in communities or office buildings that can be basically protected from wind and rain.

3. Some caring people will give cat food and water to stray cats.
