How to take a cat’s temperature

Measuring the rectal temperature: First, disinfect the thermometer with alcohol, lower it to below 35 degrees, and apply some Vaseline or erythromycin ointment on the thermometer. If not, you can also apply some boiled water. Then gently lift the cat's tail, slowly insert the thermometer into its anus, about five centimeters, and take it out after 3 to 5 minutes to check the result. The normal body temperature of a kitten is 38~39°C. If it is higher than this temperature, it means the cat has a fever. It is recommended to go to the hospital for treatment after physical cooling.
