How long does it take for a kitten to nurse after birth?

Kittens need to drink milk within one hour after birth. Generally, kittens will find milk on their own after birth. If the kitten does not eat milk after more than an hour, the owner will need help to get the kitten to eat. Milk can also be fed artificially, but it is best to let the kitten eat breast milk, because breast milk contains antibodies, which can enhance the kitten's resistance; but if the female cat does not have enough milk, goat milk powder needs to be used instead of breast milk.
