Can Chows eat meat?

Chows can eat meat. Chows are carnivorous animals and their intestines and stomach can fully digest meat. However, breeders should not feed too much to prevent Chow Chows from eating too much meat, which may lead to obesity and other diseases.

It is recommended that breeders should feed their Chows with dog food as the main food, and occasionally feed meat to supplement their nutrition. When feeders feed chow meat, they need to cook the meat before feeding it. The high temperature will kill the parasites in the meat.

Breeders can purchase food such as special beef jerky for pets and feed it to their Chows as snacks. Dog food can meet all the nutritional needs of a Chow, and meat can only be fed occasionally as snacks.
