Wrapping the dog's ears with tape is effective. There are generally two ways to erect the ears of dogs: surgery and paper tape. Different tear eye methods are chosen depending on the breed. Dogs such as Doberman and Bully dogs will use surgical methods to cut off their ears so that they can remain upright.

Corgis and other dogs generally do not undergo ear cropping surgery. Paper tape or pressure-sensitive tape is usually used to wrap the dog's ears, and calcium supplementation and tape-assisted growth are used to achieve the purpose of erect ears.
