Training a dog to defecate outdoors:

1. It is best to take the dog out for a walk at the same time every day, and the time must be strictly adhered to. Remember to wait 20 to 30 minutes after your dog eats or drinks water before taking him out, because dogs usually relieve themselves at this time. Once you detect the signal that your dog is about to urinate, take it out immediately regardless of whether it is time to go out or not.
2. Choose a fixed place for your dog to relieve himself. When he reaches the excretion point, remember to say a command such as "go to the toilet". If the dog does not defecate when you reach the excretion area, do not continue to move forward. The dog should be rewarded promptly after urinating in the designated place.
3. Remember to bring a bag to take away the dog’s excrement after the dog excretes.
4. It is best not to let the dog have a leisurely time to sniff around, but to let it know that it can only start walking and playing freely after completing its defecation.
